You may also be interested in two new auxiliary datasets recently made available for download from the ANES website (http://www.electionstudies.org). The first file is a supplement to the ANES 2002 study and contains a starter set of contextual data compiled by the ANES Staff from publicly available sources. The second file is a supplement to the ANES 1996 study and contains information on group membership, constructed by analysts who have reviewed responses at the mention level. To download either of the files, go to the ANES website and choose "Download Data and Codebooks for Free" from the left, register if you have not done so already, and then choose "Time Series Studies." The files are shown under the year they are auxiliary to.
