  • Initial release of the 2016 Pilot Study is now available for download from the Data Center.

  • Papers from several conferences held in 1977 and 1978 are now available to read from the Conferences page. Although we cannot guarantee this archive is absolutely complete, we've done our best to include as much of the conference material as possible.

  • Announcement: The Online Commons Comments Period is open through February 18

  • The ANES OC will accept proposals until 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 14, 2015. We need your input. Read more

  • ANES began accepting proposals for questions to include on our 2016 Pilot Study and the ANES 2016 Time Series Study. Proposals may be sumitted through the Online Commons. Please note the OC no longer requires registration, membership or a password. Let us know what you think!
  • The ANES Bibliography found in the ANES Reference Library, has been updated. Help us keep the Bibliography current: use our online form to submit your work.
  • The new Online Commons opened today for comments on our planned changes to the race and ethnicity variables on the CDF. The Online Commons no longer requires registration, membership or a password. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
  • The full release of the 2012 ANES Direct Democracy is now available for download in the Data Center.
  • New release of the Cumulative Data File is now available for download in the Data Center. You can read about what's modified in this release here. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
  • ANES celebrates 65 years of election studies. Take a look at this brief timeline and see ANES through the years.
  • Data have been released for the Behavior Reporting Experiment which accompanied the ,u>1994 Time Series Study during an identical field period.
  • The archive of our Online Commons was converted to a Google Group. No membership is required to view the archive. Visit the Online Commons Archive
  • We added a link to the CORE Utility. The Core Utility lists all survey questions from ANES Time Series studies according to the Core or non-Core status.
  • The 2012 Time Series Study release with coded religion, age and education variables is now available for download in the Data Center. Please visit the 2012 Time Series Study page for other resources, including the redacted Open-Ends.
