For users who wish to create a Stata system (.dta) file using the Stata setup files released for the ANES 2008 Time Series Advance Release, the missing data assignment file (anes2008TS_md.do) should be replaced with a revised version available here (.zip file).
The Stata missing data assignment file originally included with the Advance Release recodes 0 values to sysmiss. Note: users who 'comment out' (with asterisk) in the main Stata 'run' file (anes2008ts_run.do) the use of the Stata missing data assignments file are unaffected by this error,
